Lambo Films is working on a new youth film: Cyclomax is a story about two kids that invent a racing game with bikes. The movie received funding from the Brussels-Capital Region and is a coproduction with 2nd to the Right and Storyhouse Films.
Audience Award MOOOV
Breathless won the Audience Award at MOOOV, a film festival that focuses on independent and world cinema. From a selection of 86 features, the documentary on the asbestos industry received the most votes by the festival visitors. You can discover the other winners here.
Interview Humo
Belgian magazine Humo interviewed Daniel Lambo about his latest documentary, Breathless. In the interview, Lambo reveals the devastating consequences asbestos had on his hometown and how this sparked an investigation that took him to a small Indian town. You can read the full article here.
Support for The Toxic Circle
The Toxic Circle, a feature documentary, received support from Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Creative Europe Media, Canvas, RTBF and IKON and will be finished in the autumn of 2018. At the Sheffield Documentary Festival Daniel Lambo presented the project to the European Broadcasting Union and got some good advice from Walter Murch, editor of Apocalypse Now and The Godfather Part III.
Premiere De Figurant
De Figurant premiered at the Ostend Film Festival on the 11th of September. This black comedy tells the story of Thabo (Junior Mthombeni), a drug dealer with acting ambitions. You can read more about the people that made the film possible in this article by Cinevox.
